"Bayou" Benny Lacroix
Born and raised in the swamps of Houma, Louisiana, Benny Lacroix learned to wrestle alligators at a young age, honing skills that would serve him well in the wrestling ring. His upbringing was steeped in the rich Cajun culture, full of stories, music, and a deep connection to the land and its creatures.
His transition to professional wrestling was almost predestined. Benny brought with him not only unique in-ring skills but also a flair for showmanship that was deeply rooted in his bayou upbringing. Under the management of Eddie "Big Easy" Fontenot, Benny developed a crafty, if not always successful, wrestling style. His matches were as much about entertainment as they were about competition, adding a distinct Louisiana flavor to each event.
As a member of the faction/tag team Southern Comfort, Benny represented the rugged and raw side of the South. Alongside his teammates, he participated in storylines that highlighted Southern hypocrisy and stubborn pride, often using his swamp-savvy tactics to trick unwitting opponents.
