Steve Knight emerged from the vibrant intersection of South Central LA's athletic tradition and the burgeoning electronic music scene of the early 1980s. A former amateur wrestling champion at Inglewood High School, Knight spent his youth mastering both the wrestling mat and the skateparks of Venice Beach. Working security at underground electronic music venues while competing in regional amateur tournaments, he discovered his unique style at the legendary Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace (1979-1981). There, influenced by DJ Swedish Egil's groundbreaking sets, Knight developed the persona that would electrify the GWA: a dynamic fusion of technical wrestling ability, skater's grace, and electronic music's raw energy.
